Our plan has been to design a site from the ground up using all our own code wherever possible. We also have implemented a skin system to customize the look of the pages, as such style tags will not be supported in most cases with the user instead choosing the style options by selecting a particular skin. This also allows a lot of interesting user customization and should really help for catoring to users with special needs, visual impairment comes to mind
Browser support is exellent on both desktop's and laptop's, with no major handcaps to report, the site and the chat also as well as possible on slow connections, (ie you can tinker with the options to get it usable on dial up most of time, lol), Mobile support is decent and getting better, Opera Mobile and Iphones are currently known to be functioning perfectly, you can also try entering via the mobile url! We are working constantly on improving support for slow connections and on supporting more mobiles so try the mobile link frequently
